About this Product
When I moved out to Powell County, KY from Lexington, KY in 1993, the first thing I did was read the tiny phone book cover to cover (guess who turned out to be autistic). I was fascinated with the names I found therein. I copied down all the interesting names and names that seemed to be so much more common out there than in Lexington, and then carefully organized the names into a long list of names that I labelled with the locally phonetic heading "naimes f'r yer kieds: whut ta naim yer chald ifya leive in eastirn KY." Since then (I was only 13), I've met several of these people (like my best friend in high school's dad, Ovie), and heard many of these names used in other places besides Powell County. Still, there's something almost tangible about the way people tend toward certain naimes in certain places. I hope you appreciate this list as the sort of entertaining but loving list that I meant it to be. Maybe you recognize some of these folks!
The inside of this zine includes the following lists: The E names, the O names, place names, girl names, boy names, double names and miscellaneous.
Includes some winners such as Sreldie, Amon Zane (I'm insane?), Freg...

Meet the Maker
Inspiration for my creations comes from wanting to use and re-use things that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Seeing beauty and highlighting that in my art is a manifestation of my worldview: we can all do our part to make the world a better place. Sometimes my ideas come to me in dreams, a lot of the time, my ideas come to me through working with the materials--they direct me.
I used to make art and jewelry as a part-time job in my 'free time' outside of my wage-work. Since becoming chronically ill, I make things as a way to celebrate the scant energy I occasionally have for being creative. I am mostly housebound, often bed bound, and your support helps me feel like I'm still a part of the world at large.
How it’s Made
This zine is made from a single piece of letter sized paper. It will come already cut and folded into a sweet little booklet for you.
Shop Policies
Processing Time: I do my best to get items in the mail within 2 business days. As someone with complex chronic illness, however, it may take longer if I'm in a flare.
Return Policy: I do not accept returns.
Care Instructions: As with any jewelry, the easier you treat it, the longer it will last. The double-sided pendants are not water proof. The tin earrings are water proof, although some of the older tins may rust as they have a higher iron content (I think this patina only adds to their charm).
Shipping Within The US Only: If you live elsewhere, please contact me and I'll set up shipping with you. I can not ship to Italy unfortunately.
FAQ's: LMK if you have Qs and I'll start making an FAQ section :)
